Advanced and Scalable Link Building – Iloilo SEO Conference Presentation

by Jason Acidre on May 12, 2012 · 33 comments · Search

This was my presentation earlier today from the first Iloilo SEO Conference. I have written most of the deck’s content in the past, but there are also some ideas and tips that I haven’t put into a blog post yet, so it might still be a great read for you guys.

I’ll update this post later next week, and perhaps add more photos, since it’s my first time to visit this place, and so far, I’m finding the city and their food extremely awesome!

Thanks for the copy of your presentation. Isa ako dun sa nanood ng performance mo, galing mo palang sumayaw :D. By the way, thanks for sharing your expertise, i did learn lots of new stuffs from your talk. And I like the expression when you’re out of words, you remind of someone i knew. Wish you all the best.

Hi Jason,

I forgot to ask a question during the conference. I’m planning to add links pointing to my website from the sites I’ve developed.

The link text would be a variety of something like this:
WordPress Web Design and Development Philippines

Then I would use CSS text-indent:-9999px; and add a background image so it would look like an image instead of text. Will that be frowned by Google? Or only if I abuse this trick?

Thanks in advance!

Very interesting presentation and perspective on optimization and link-building strategies. From the presentation I understand that we have to create good content that deserves to be shared by others and to also focus on .edu backlinks.

Great presentation. Some all-round great advice regarding up-to date link building. Especially liked the tip about using long anchor text. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention the benefits of that before.

Thanks for teaching us the advanced way to building links of a website, I would say that finding quality site is a bit difficult but it is not too difficult if you learn it, and if you give time.

Glenn June 9, 2012 at 3:58 am

Again a great source of information. Would love to know from you the following.
How do you go about building link backs to well known brands…..Brands names where one would think SEO is not required.
